I've got a friend who has been involved in ZS for a while now. I really didnt know what it was about, I just knew that it including planning for zombie attacks...
He posted this link on his blog, so I followed it.
As the RN - Emergency POD Coordinator for my County, This seems like a good program. I am more than in favor of anything that helps keep people prepared for disasters. Although in my job, I focus more on the New Madrid Fault, Bird Flu, Mass Communicable Disease and the like, I liked there Slogan...
"If you are prepared for a shambling horde of walking corpses that are trying to eat you alive, you will be prepared for just about anything."

Zombie Squad recommends citizens prepare a "bug out bag" in case of emergencies. These kits could be quite extensive, but items should include:
Food and water for three days
A first aid kit
Weather protection
A flashlight and extra batteries
A radio
A knife or multi-tool
A source of fire
While my suggested kit has a few more things in it, these are definately the bare bones of what you will need should you ever be involved in an emergency. Follow the link, and read about this group that is helping make a difference! I was pleasantly surprised!
